HTC Thunderbolt Holsters

Upon acquiring a new phone, one of the first accessories people generally get is some kind of a holster or a pouch for their cell phones. Considering that smart phones are an expensive investment and usually have large screens, it is obvious that one would want to protect the investment in general, and the screen in particular, from getting any nicks or scratches. Phone holsters and pouches provide a convenient way, to not only protect the phone, but to carry it easily as well. Both pouches and holsters have one thing in common, that is they both require the user to remove the phone from its coverings in order to use it. Whether one gets a pouch or a holster from HTC Thunderbolt Accessories is a matter of personal taste and preference, as each comes with its own distinct set of benefits and drawbacks. Carrying the phone in an HTC Thunderbolt holster means that it is easily accessible from the belt at the top of the pants or the backpack strap. Since the phone is separated from the hard things like keys, keychain, or pens one normally finds in bags or pockets, the phone is protected from getting scratches. Also, since it is secured in place, there is no chance of putting it on some counter or table and forgetting it there. It is available and within easy reach at all times. One issue people usually have with a holster, is that they tend to be a bit bulky, and thus do not suit everyone’s tastes. The other problem is that once in a while the holster clip breaks and the phone can fall out and get scratched up. The reason clips break is because the holster is attached to the belt in a vertical position and when one sits down there is angular stress on the clip. Unless one remembers to turn the holster sideways every time they sit, eventually the clip may break. The final issue with holsters is that due to their height when attached to a belt, if one is not careful the holster can hit a door latch, thus damaging the phone. This issue can be resolved by using a horizontal holster in which the phone lies on its side. There is no stress when one sits and there is greater protection from the sides in case of accidental bumps against doors or shelves. The advantage of the HTC thunderbolt case is that it is comparatively lightweight, and it protects the phone from accidental external scratches and dents. Usually the texture of the cases is such that they provide an easy grip that prevents slipping. Due to precise openings, all functionalities of the phone are easily accessible. They are available in numerous colors and designs, so more than one can be purchased and used interchangeably to suit the mood or environment. The drawback is that they either have to be placed in a pocket or in a bag. They don’t always fit in jeans pockets comfortably, and can drop out of the shirt pockets if one bends to pick something up. If they are in a bag with other things, then one has to search for them. Both pouches and holsters offer great protection for the cell phone, but each has a set of drawbacks associated with it. The type of protection one gets is just a matter of personal taste and individual lifestyle. Some people feel more comfortable having the phone within easy reach while others prefer to tuck it away in a bag.
